DC is two different cleaning jobs depending on which side of Rock Creek you are on. West of the park, the detached homes in Palisades, Spring Valley and AU Park have siding, roofs and driveways that soft wash exactly like our Maryland work. Everywhere else, it is brick, front steps, areaways and back patios. We do both, and we quote them differently because they are not the same job.
Detached Homes West of Rock Creek
Spring Valley, Palisades, Kent, Wesley Heights and Chevy Chase DC sit under heavy canopy on the ridge above the river. Siding greens up on north walls, roofs streak black, and slate and cedar are common enough that pressure is never the answer. This is the same soft wash we run across Montgomery County, and it is the work our before and after photos show.
Rowhouses, Steps and Areaways
On the Hill, in Georgetown, Petworth, Brookland and Columbia Heights, the surfaces that matter are the ones people walk on and look at from the sidewalk: brick facades, front steps, iron railings, basement areaways and back patios. Historic brick and its mortar are soft, so we clean it with detergent and low pressure rather than blasting it. Concrete steps and patios can take a proper surface cleaner, and they are where you see the biggest change for the money.

Do you clean rowhouses, or only detached homes?
Both. On a rowhouse the work is usually the brick front, steps, railings, areaway and rear patio rather than a full house wash, and it is priced by what is actually there.
Where do you park, and do you need my water?
We work off street parking and are used to tight blocks. We do need access to an exterior spigot. If yours is inside the areaway or out back, just let us know when you book so the crew plans for it.
How much does power washing cost in DC?
Rowhouse fronts with steps typically run $150-$350. Detached house washes west of the park run $250-$600, and roofs $400-$900. Firm quote before any work starts.
